Things to see and do in Gibraltar

Gibraltar is full of sights to see and there is always plenty to do, whether you’re in need of a bit of culture, or some fun and frolics in the town centre, you are guaranteed to never be bored! For a little point in the right direction, we’ve got some information below.

St Michael's Cave
St Michael’s Cave is a natural grotto which was originally set up as a hospital in World War 2. Tours through St Michael’s should be booked in advance to explore the cave fully - so check before you head down there!

Apes den
This is one of Gibraltar’s most famous tourist attractions - the Barbary Apes are tail-less monkeys. It is recommended that you do not carry food with you during this tour - as it will get stolen!

The Great Siege Tunnels
The Great Siege Tunnels are an impressive defense system devised by man. Excavated during the Great Siege of 1779-83, these tunnels were built into the rock by using gunpowder and simple tools.

American War Memorial
The American War Memorial arch was built into the main city wall in 1932 to commemorate the achievements of the U.S. Navy and the Royal Navy during the First World War. It is a beautiful and humbling sight to see - a ‘must do’ whilst you’re in Gibraltar.
